Rebecca Jones Founder of Miss Munchin Cupcakes
Rebecca Jones has always been an avid traveller and foodie. In 2013 she she became a hugh fan Lola’s Cupcakes, she decided to stop buying cupcakes and learnt how to bake. The notion of creating a business which incorporated her 3 loves, culture, travel and of course cupcakes, came into fulion in 2014.
This year of 2016, after a short spell of making cupcakes inspired by the different cultures she’d encountered, she decided to take the notion one step further and go global. Hence the Munchin Mission was born. By using cupcakes, Miss aims to connect you to the world by taking you and your taste buds on a journey around the world.
Nigel Twumasi Co-Founder Mayamada (British Manga)
Nigel Twumasi is the co-founder of Mayamada, a creative brand inspired by anime and manga. Nigel and his partner Lao took their love of creativity, characters and storytelling and fused it with an anime and manga style to create their own universe. Mayamda is a Prince’s Trust supported company featured in Vogue, GQ, The Voice, London Live and more, mayamada is set in their own universe of characters. Nigeland co-founder Lao write original comics, design casual clothing and host events from frozen yogurt parties to their latest social gaming even GamePad. ”
Zara Elliott Founder of Blush Beauty Academy
Zara Elliott has been in the beauty industry for over twenty years, and her drive to look after the health, well-being and inner confidence of herself, and others, is her absolute passion. But, as she puts it in her own words, “My beauty industry journey over these two decades has often been exciting, rewarding and heart-warming, but sometimes it has also been stressful and it’s always been really hard work!”
Zara Elliott has been in the beauty industry for over twenty years. It’s her recognition that a career in the beauty industry is demanding, exhausting and sometimes disappointing, that led Zara to set up Blush Academy which offers training workshops at Canizaro House in Wimbledon, the Blush Academy provides 1-Day Beauty Courses, Health & safety Courses and Marketing and Management Courses that can provide answers to questions that many new business owners have. The mission of Blush Academy is to help beauty industry entrepreneurs avoid the pitfalls that are present in our industry and to teach them what it takes to run their businesses successfully.
James Cadbury Founder of Love Cocoa
It was a magical moment, when as a small boy when James realised that the name on his school exercise book matched the one on my chocolate bar & discovered that his great great grandfathers had created one of the most iconic and best loved brands of chocolate. James Cadbury is a descendant of the founder of Cadbury chocolate, has a background in finance having worked for various multi-national investment banks and most recently as a trader for the largest pension scheme in the UK.
Sharing his ancestors’ ambition to create something “absolutely pure, therefore the best” Love Cocoa make artisan chocolate bars using only organic, fairly traded cacao, whilst sourcing natural ingredients, wherever possible, from independent British producers.
“Our chocolates are designed to fit through the letterbox first, then into your mouth…so go ahead, surprise a friend and treat them to some of Love Cocoa’s creations or simply indulge yourself & know there’s a delicious bar of chocolate just waiting for you to come home.”
Prior to launching Love Cocoa in July this year, he was involved in Property crowdfunding startup Property Moose, which has grown substantially over the last few years.
Patrica Odje Host and Founder of PBelle Communications
6 years into the creative industry, Patricia is a creative entrepreneur who’s flair started at the age of 17, when she first established herself as a freelance makeup artist and beauty therapist. Her journey progressed at Amor Magazine as a Beauty Editor & Social Media Manager, before she identified her love for freelancing in digital marketing. Since then she has worked with a variety of brands such as WeWantAnyCar, Vitae London and Stamina Parties.
